This is the prologue to the story from the gdoc I typed it in. While there are things I may change now, it is more or less going to be like this.

Perhaps, it’s easier to say that the sky sees all that is below— safe from trouble as nothing more than a spectator.

One thing was all it took for the skies to stop spectating and become part of the grand stage.

*It might be better if we started at the beginning, even farther back than the events that will transpire.

It’s like any other story. I grew up hearing about it all the time. The story of how the land came to be— we’re not talking about the creation of the world but something closer to our time yet farther than what we call the “present day.”

After the creation of the world by making sense of what was called “chaos,” the world was quiet and peaceful, however, it all changed within many year’s time.

Little did the heavens, the first deities, knew, a small tiny little entity remained in the world. It didn’t have a shape or color, but if anyone were to give it a name, it would be called “Darkness.” This darkness held a different shape and form from person to person, but it is what we would call “Chaos.” Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

It slowly took over the mortal plane and plunged the world into disaster. Never ending storms, natural disasters, famines, plagues— almost every terrible thing one could think of; that was the state of the world.

Despite this, the humans tried to live in such a wretched world, clinging on to the hope that perhaps one day, they will be able to see the light.

However, the condition of the world worsened. Unable to withstand patiently waiting, a small group of people banded together to find refuge somewhere that isn’t on the ground but up above— to the skies.

After a long grueling journey, they climbed the tallest mountain in all of the region, only to find that they couldn’t reach above the dark clouds that hung at the top of the mountain. The journey above was too gruesome for a group of people so they sent two people to climb even higher.

After the multitude of trouble they encountered, they were just short of reaching above and beyond. They couldn’t climb any further. With nothing they could do to move forward, they prayed to the heavens just above them and offered some seeds on the ground.

A flash of lightning struck down on to the little bump of seeds on the ground, nearly harming the two. When the flash in their eyes cleared, a figure stood before them, glowing with a soft light. Without any words being spoken, the two knew exactly who this figure was—

The creator of the world, the symbol of harmony: Galelia

The god heard of only in folktales graced the two travelers with their presence. Their serene glow warded off the miasma in the air and the surrounding area. It was the first time the two travelers breathed fresh air.

After a moment of silence, the god spoke:

“O’Travelers who braved the many trials of the land, it was the fault of the heavens that has caused you, children of the land, such grief. Let me bestow to you a gift.”

They raised a single hand and parted the clouds, letting in the light from above, revealing a blue sky. The two travelers were welcomed into the domain of the heavens just shortly. The seeds they offered were then handed back to them, each with a magical power in them.

“Spread these seeds to four separate locations, you will know where when you reached the destined location—“

And then, poof— they were back at the mountain top with no one around but them.

With the gifts they received, they returned to the group to report their findings. Then, they split up to fulfill the task handed to them, except one remained to keep a watch on the single seed that the god left in their place.

When the task was complete, four “pillars” were erected at the locations where the seeds were planted and the dark skies were no more————

It was the birthplace of the four ancient tribes, the establishment of the balance of the world, and the beginning of the end.*
